Wallis and Futuna recruit a senior adviser for tourism

first_imgThe territory of Wallis and Futuna has just joined SPTO as tourism is a main target for increasing their economic activity. Starting from a number of tourists per year under 500 people, Wallis and Futuna is still off the tourist pathline, and offer pristine landscapes and authentic Pacific culture.The territory is recruiting a senior officer who will be in charge of designing the tourism strategy for Wallis and Futuna. The officer will work within the department of economic affairs and development and in close relation with the hotel and restaurant owners and the other professionals of the industry. An experienced tourism specailist he/she will work mainly in French and will be in charge of designing and marketing the offer, in respect of the traditional features of the islands, and training the “next generation” of professionals.
