LSU lost a commitment from four-star defensive tackle Jaquelin Roy.The high school star took to Twitter on Thursday night to announce he’s decommitting from the Tigers. Roy initially announced his commitment to Ed Orgeron and company in September 2018.Just a few months later, he decided to re-open his recruitment.“I would like to start off by saying thank you to the LSU staff for all the support and treating me like family. I am forever grateful for the relationships that I’ve built with them. After much thought and consideration, I have made the decision to de-commit,” Roy said in a statement on Twitter.Please Respect my decision… pic.twitter.com/HArhRGaeaU— Jaquelin roy (@d1roy1000) March 1, 2019In his statement, Roy did not make it clear if the Tigers are still in the running to land the top recruit.Roy is the No. 10 defensive tackle recruit in the country and the No. 3 player from the state of Louisiana, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.Roy currently holds 20 offers from the nation’s best college football programs. Alabama, Georgia and Texas A&M, among others, are all on the hunt for the Louisiana product.
