first_img1 Former Aston Villa and Norwich boss Paul Lambert Paul Lambert has told talkSPORT he “can’t wait” to get back into management after spending a productive break with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and former club Borussia Dortmund. The Scottish coach has been without a club since his exit from Aston Villa in February, where Tim Sherwood replaced him at the helm and has all-but guided the club to Premier League safety. And Lambert is keen to get back into the hot seat, insisting his appetite for management “has never dwindled.”He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast: “I’ve had a good time away, I’ve been to some great places to watch training.“I was at Real Madrid with Carlo Ancelotti for five days, he’s a lovely man, and then I went to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the space of few months.“Meeting Pep Guardiolo and Carlo was an absolute privilege, it was top class.“So I’ve had a great break, but I’m ready to come back in when the right opportunity comes around.“I can’t wait to get back in, my appetite has never dwindled.“I want to go to a club where I have a good chance of doing something. I had a great experience with Norwich and Aston Villa, but I’ll go again now.“You can never pick and choose though, you’ve got to think what is right for you, and if there’s a good opportunity I’ll go for it.“But the reality is you’ve got to wait until someone loses their job, it’s not nice.”last_img
