LIBRA Sanitation Looks Beyond Monrovia

first_imgLIBRA Sanitation Inc., a leading Liberian sanitation company, has brought in seven brand new garbage trucks to the country to enhance the company’s services beyond Monrovia, to other parts of the country. He disclosed further that his company will soon establish two branches outside Monrovia to help Liberians in other parts of the country to benefit from the services they are providing. He however, did not specify where outside Monrovia. The seven trucks, according to the LIBRA’s chief executive officer (CEO), Mr. George Howe, have a value of over US$500,000.He noted that the process of keeping Liberia clean is not an easy task but, with the collective efforts of every citizen, Liberia can be one of the best in Africa.“This country,” he said, “belongs to Liberians and as such we must help government in making Liberia a better place because foreigners will not develop this country, only Liberians will.”Mr. Howe explained further that the entity has been in business for eleven years and promise that the LIBRA remains committed to ensuring that Liberia is clean. He further called on government, especially the President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to support Liberian owned businesses adding that Liberians are capable of moving the country forward through business when they are supported.Dedicating the trucks on behalf of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the Assistant Minister for logistics at the Ministry of State, Mohammed Kromah said the company has taken a bold step and should be recognized and appreciated for their works in the country.He said the decision made by the company to bring in the garbage trucks is timely, and that there is a need to empower those who go out to collect the garbage.Mr. Kromah said that the government will continue to support the efforts of LIBRA sanitation to keep the country clean, adding that employees of the company should remain committed to their job.
