He want’s seniors to have a better understanding when answering the “what’s next?” question.“I want them to understand a little bit about medicare, managed care, and with medicare there is a 30 day window,” said Sobeck. “I want them to know about if they do have an outpatient procedure, there are options that are affordable for them, and also, when they are hospitalized after a situation, they may not know what the actual outcome will be.”That outcome requires an informed decision that often has to be made quickly.“I know from personal experience being involved in this, that there is misguided information,” said Sobeck. “People aren’t getting the whole picture, and it is costing people money.”Sobeck will be hosting a presentation on making decisions on May 23rd at 5:30 p.m. Folks 50 and up are encourage to attend.
