Search begins for outstanding Ilongga leaders

first_imgThe Junior Chamber International (JCI)Iloilo Ilang Ilang is now accepting nominees. The nomination forms can be downloadedfrom Ang Ilongga Awards Facebook page and should reach the organization’se-mail address [email protected] with the nominee’s name as heading onor before March 31, 2020./PN Ang Ilongga Committee will screen allthe nomination forms received and will determine the Top 5. After the panelinterview, the Top 3 will be determined and will already be called thefinalists. Nominees should be Filipinos who areat least 18 years old, bona fide residents of Iloilo province and emergingcommunity leaders who may or may not be working with people’s group or civilsociety organization. Different aspects of the nomineesshall be looked into such as leadership (30 percent), women empowerment (20percent), community and civic involvement (20 percent), and social impact (30percent). This is the fifth edition of the AngIlongga Awards: The Search for the Outstanding Woman Community Leader. It aimsto recognize the efforts of women leaders in effecting positive change insociety. Ang Ilongga Awards started in 2014. Itcovers the following sectors: justice, peace and order, health and wellness,education, culture and the arts, entrepreneurship, agriculture, fisheries andforestry, and disaster risk reduction and management. ILOILO – The search is on for the 2020outstanding women community leaders. These three will then be ranked afteran on-site validation to be conducted by the committee in-charge.last_img
